The Living Well Mataura Family Fun Day 2024 brought the community together for a day of games, friendly competition, and relaxation, with around 450 people estimated to have attended. Activities were offered at little to no cost, with small prizes available on the spot and larger prizes awarded later in the evening. Hokonui Hauora funding supported the inclusion of bumper balls, an astro ball, and two bouncy castles provided by Southland Mini Jeeps, all of which were very popular with families.

Despite strong winds threatening the setup, the event adapted quickly with help from the Mataura RSA, relocating outdoor activities to a safer area that many families found more convenient. The day provided a space for the community to unwind, enjoy activities together, and celebrate the collaborative spirit of Mataura. Positive feedback highlighted the fun and flexibility of the event, making it a memorable experience for all who attended.
