Southland Hug a Rig 2026 brought the community together for a special day of truck and car rides, with more than 213 participants taking part. The event has continued to attract strong participation over the last couple of years, with participants and volunteers enjoying the smiles and special moments that come from the day. “That’s what it’s all about.”

The event continues to give back to the community and the people who help make it memorable. The Hokonui Hauora Fund provided support for the event, helping contribute to another special day for participants and volunteers.
